go to the horn under your hood, check it for any thing wrong, then follow the power wire and follow it back to your steering wheal. this is where your problem is you just have to find out where the short is. and fix it.

SOURCE: 1994 Grand Cherokee Jeep wont start

It is likely one of your battery cables loose. Same thing just happened to me today. What you need to do is first lock the doors, and close them. Then you need to disconnect, and reconnect the battery cable, then if the security lights still blink you must use your key to unlock the door, then it should stop blinking, and start just fine.

SOURCE: 1996 jeep cherokee sport where do i add freon

Look for the a/c pipe that has a blue cap on it, that's the low pressure side where the freon goes.
The pipe with the red cap is the high pressure side, you don't put the freon in that one.
I can't tell you exactly where the connection is, different models are in different places.

SOURCE: A/C on 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee is not very cold

the refrigerant can be recoverd by the shop. discuss the cost with them and explain that you're going to do work yourself. and would like them to recover it, and once repairs are done, evacuate and charge the system. however, once the system is empty, i would replace the accumulator and orifice tube, or the receiver/dryer and expansion valve. which ever your car has. pag oil should also be added to the system. 2-4 oz should do. this can be done when re-charging.

do not rule out the blend door

How much would it cost to replace the a.c. system in a 1999 jeep grand cherokee?

People that do A/C work ask outrageous prices for their work. For a total refit, which you probably don't need would be around $1700.00. Compressors-$500.00, condensers- 400.00, Evaporators- $700.00, Various lines $100.00 to $200.00. Then add the freon that they put in.

A/c does not work

Have a certified shop check the A/C system charge. More than likely it's low on freon, which will keep the A/C compressor from coming on. Its possible it could just need to be charged up. Be prepared though... it's possible the compressor itself could be bad, and that gets expensive. Good luck.
