Just follow the fuel line and you will find the fuel filter ,but if its running ok then just check the fuel lines for deterioration and leave well alone ,the fuel pumps at the garage have filters in them so you shouldnt need to change the filter unless the metal casing is rusting,as for the transmission again if it works ok then do not disturb as its only hydraulic oil and it doesnt get dirty like engine oil but if your gearbox is showing signs of bad changes and you can see bits of worn brake band in it then change the vehicle as even if you change the oil it will pack up with or without a oil change.

My 2004 gran prix (gtp) just hit 100000 miles. What maintenance needs to be done now?

Spark plugs, transmission fluid and coolant change, supercharger oil, air filter, fuel filter, tires, brakes, engine mounts, BTSI inspection and power steering fluid. Also inspect the belts, hoses, pulleys and look for wiring damage.

My Pontiac Gran Prix is stuck in third gear, why?

check tranny fluid. if thats good then it sounds like your bands are sticking. go to autozone and buy a bottle of "lucas tranmission additive". this is the best on the market. do not buy the cheap stuff. this "lucas transmission additive" will be rather thick so it will take about 10 minutes to drain into your transmission filler port. drive around for aboud 10-15 minutes and you should be fixed......tell me if this fixes your problem.

How do I change the fuel filter for a 2002 pontiac Gran Prix

Release the fuel pressure by loosening the gas cap, raise and support the car on jack stands, squeeze the plastic tabs on the male end of the connector, and pull the connector apart. Some models have 2 tabs, and others have 1 and the fuel line screwed into the other side.Remove filter mounting bolt, unhook tab from frame and remove filter. when you put in the new filter, make sure the arrow is pointing toward front of engine. On the line with plastic tabs, just push on till you hear a click, then pull on it to make sure it's latched.Don't forget to tighten gas cap.

Heater control not working on 1997 pontiac Gran Prix

There is a flat filter that sits between the firewall and the blower. Sometimes the filter is blocked and needs to be cleaned or changed. On older cars the filter is located on the firewall in the engine compartment infront of the blower. In the newer cars the filter is under the dash inside the car and much harder to get too.,
