This sounds like you may have a worn switch, the best way to know for sure is to remove the switch and test it for power while pushing the switch,if power flows when switch is push for the window then you may have a motor problem, there are many wire at switch it may be easier to test at the motor for power and ground using a test light if theres no power to motor then switch is bad, most of the time its a switch problem.

If neither work, it is probably the switch. All the windows front and back work off the same circuit breaker.

Rear vent windows won't open

First you need to find out if there is power and ground at the switch if both won't work,if no power there then look for a blown fuse in PDC under hood. Check them all as it may be on a different circuit, also check wire harness from the door into A post going to under dash, over time with door opening and closing that harness has a tendency to break wires that may be the power to the switch or output to vent motors (inside the boot)

The rear quarter windows have a common power source. Both should open or close in response to operation of the switch. You could have a bad switch or one of the motors could have failed

2001 Pontiac Montana rear power windows opened and now they are both not closeing. There is no fuse and I can't close my windows. Please help me.

Power for the rear quarter windows passes through the 10A PWR QTR VENT fuse in the fuse block. 12V is applied to the rearquarter window switch which controls the open and close operation of the windows. If the fuse checks OK, the window actuators and motors are all that's left

Power quarter vent window

The motor that drives this window is very small and prone to failure, gain access to the motor connector and with a 12 volt test light probe the motor connector wires while someone operates the switch to open or close the window.
