This should be under waranty and you should get something in writing just incase problem comes back after waranty expires, this code is for the sunload sensor, this is for the a/c system and detects sun heat amounts to make ac colder when needed, this code can be caused by a defective sensor or a bad connection or dealer needed to reprogram it.

Can I drive my 1997 GMC Suburban with the P1345 code? It drives fine

this code tells you that there is a different signal coming from the cam and crank sensor which means one of them is broken and giving the wrong info. probably the cam sensor. evrything will be fine unless the other sensor brakes to.

Hello! My long time (recently not so helpful) mechanic told me my engine light was on due to an O2 sensor code. This lasted at least a year and now the car is giving a code for the Cat Converter. Do you...

replace the o2 sensor,, clear the codes ,, and see if that cat code comes back, they work in unison,, so you may just need the O2 sensor, and all codes will clear

Codes po128 and po456 from engine warning light. are these actual problems or errors in the system? thank you

mazda codes are quit dependable when they set.they give the tech a place to start diagnosing the problem as codes never tell the tech what exact part needs replacing that`s not how the system works.

I'm having problems inspecting my car because it gives me a error code P0446. I was wondering if you can give solution because nobody really knows how to fix the problem, everybody tell me is something...

Right off the bat have you tried a new gas cap? This code means you have a vacuum leak. In the evaporative system, in other words from the gas tank to the engine, part of the emissions system has to do with drawing fumes off the gas in the tank. This code will be real hard to give you a definitive solution for, due to - no info on, year, or model. As far as I know it is not related to the Ox2 sensor. If the car will run, you can try spraying WD 40 along all the small hoses and vacuum lines in the engine bay until you find the leak. Try up close to the air breather, intake manifold area. Hope this helps Fixya up.

Check engine light comes on?

Not much info but most all auto stores will hook your truck up for free and tell you the code the check engine light is giving. Once you have the code they can tell you what the error is.

My check engine soon light came on yesterday and will not go out. What should i check first? Also, i friend told me that on her car if she turns her key to auxilary three 3 times codes will come up for...

take your car to an advance or autozone store. they will hookup a 30 dollar analzyer to the port under the dash just left of the steering column. these guys were selling pizza two weeks ago and are using a cheap device. they can give you the error codes and they have a book which tells you what they mean. on the other hand you can go to a GM dealer and trained techs will hook a 3000 dollar analyzer up to it and give you an idea of what is wrong. you get what you pay for.

Car starts and shuts off like 2 secs later someone told me i need a the security code for ignition is this true

I would call this a solution, I am not sure if the car has a security code or not, you can find this out by a Haynes manual for your specific make and model of car. One will cost you about $20.00 or a little more. But, it is well worth the price, you get all the Tech. info for your vehicle and it is a great source of troubleshooting. However, if you can't afford the price tag, then try asking around at Advance or Auto Zone...they could tell you if the car comes with one or not and may be able to tell you how to fix the problem.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. i HAVE TAKEN TO SEVERAL MECHANICS, BUT THEY ALL TELL ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT/. LAST ONE TOLD ME IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION. OTHER TOLD ME IT WAS MY TIMING BELT. I DO NOT KNOW...

If you are a DIY'er you can get a OBDII scan tool that connects to your laptop that can tell you the error code and allow you to reset your check engine light. This will save you $80 each time over going to a mechanic for a diagnostic. They are easy to use and will help you know what the issues are if you do have to go to a mechanic.
Check out http://www.fitityourself.netau.net/OBDII.html
Sometime the check engine light comes on if you did not fit your gas cap tight enough. You need a code reader to find out the error code to help solve your problem.
If it is something simple (like a gas cap) and you do not want to get a code reader to find out what codes (problems) your vehicle computer is saying there is. You can try disconnecting the negative battery lead for 5 minutes. This should reset your check engine light. Drive and see how long it takes before it comes back on - this may help you pass the smog inspection...

P0153 error code for 2000 Ford Taurus SES V6 3.0L

the tech is right.. the trouble codes do not tell you what is wrong with the car... they just give you a general area to look in which involves testing multiple components and sensors. if the tech quoted you for and hour diag time i would say that you should at least expext to spend somewhere in the 300$ area depending on part cost.
