Start engine with coolant cap off run car till it reaches normal operating temp. which is when the cooling fan will come on. let run while looking for any air bubbles coming up in the coolant resivor. when u dont see any big pockets of air coming up then u should have it.

Toyota Corrolla 1995. The heater does not work, I replaced the thermostat and have put a lot of antifreeze.

bleed cooling system, probably there is air trapped in the heater core preventing warm coolant to circulate into the heater core. try this
1 open radiator cap fill coolant and put heater in hi heat
2 start engine and wait until you see the coolant start to circulate
3 squeeze hose several times watching if coolant volume decrease
4 add more coolant and repeat 3 until coolant volume stays same or start overflowing.
5 check if heater giving off warm air or repeat 3 and 4 until warm air blows on heater.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
or find the coolant bleeder screw, do 1 and 2
open bleeder screw until coolant come out, do this several times until no air comes out when opening bleeder screw, fill coolant in radiator.

How do i fix an air lock in cooling system in 2002 ford taurus ses?

There should be air bleeders near the thermostat, and another one else where on the engine at a high point,Break one bleeder loose,(thermostat location) first, with engine off,and pour coolant into the reservoir ,and when the bleeder runs pure water no air bubbles out, then shut the bleeder off.then do the same with the other bleeder.Sometimes allowing the engine to run, until normal engine temp,or a little warmer, and turning the engine off, will allow the cooling system to bleed itself,by waiting about 30 minutes and checking the coolant level in the reservoir to make sure the level is dropping, then u will know the system is bleeding itself, just make sure there is enough coolant in the reservoir before doing this. This may have to be done two,or three times.

Where is the bleeder valve for the radiator on a

SATURN USED A PRESSURE COOLANT SURGE TANK AND A INLET SIDE THERMOSTAT.THEY DONT HAVE BLEEDER SCREWS.YOU NEED LET CAR SET A LITTLE AT A TIME CRANK ENGINE FOR FEW MINUTES TURN OFF ENGINE.CHECK COOLANT LEVEL WHEN ENGINE SET LONG ENOUGH NOT TO SCALD YOU REMOVE PRESSURE CAP.ADD COOLANT TO SURGE TANK UNTIL LEVEL STAYS AT HOT FULL.WHEN COOLANT LEVEL QUIT DROPPING YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AMOUNT COOLANT.YOUR PRESSURE CAP COULD CAUSE OVER HEATING AND THE THERMOSTAT COULD BE BAD ALSO.

How do i bleed cooling system 1996 cavalier

Fill the resovoir full of coolant then put the cap on. Start the car and let the tempture get about 160 -190 depending on your thermostat. Then proceed to turn the motor off. While the motor is off locate the bleeder valve that is loacted on a metal pipe that runs to the side of the head, Slowly turn the bleeder valve between 3/4 to a full rotation then begin to let the system bleed until there is a steady stream of coolant exiting the valve. Start the vehicle again and repeat till resovoir is full and there is absolutley no air in the system. Failure to do so will result in vapor lock and ultimatley coolant system failure

No heat changed thermostat flushed engine new coolant

did you release air from cooling system when replacing coolant!! if air is trapped in system it will not heat up proper. turn fan on high heat locate bleeder for cooling system, open bleeder with car running. if there is any air in system you will see it come out of bleeder. keep checking for heat. when you get heat bring coolant to proper level. leave top off of coolant recovery tank while bleeding system. put cap back on when done.

HOW DO YOU PURGE OR RELEASE AIR ONCE YOU REPLACE RADIATOR, WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT?

the thermostat (on bmw replacement parts) have an arrow that has to be installed facing upward.if this was done correctly,to bleed the system usually there is a bleeder screw on or near the expansion tank(where you fill the coolant) and possibly on the thermostat housing. i would recommend opening both bleeders and keep filling the system with coolant closing the lower bleeder first and then allow the rest of the air purge from the other bleeder screw.make sure the coolant stays full and be patient you can't wait TOO long.

2001 Cadillac Deville coolant bleed screw Location??

I had the same problem with my 2001 Cadillac Deville, like you I had replaced literally everything thermostat, water pump, radiator, temperature sensor, reservoir and cap, hoses etc....I didnt have any leakage. I was told I had air in my coolant system. After a lot of research and running across the right mechanic I was able to locate the bleeder and remove the air from my lines. No problem since. The bleeder is located on yhe left side of the radiator on the crossover, mines was sideways..Hope this helps someone before they spend money for new head gasket problems..Try this it helped me....
