Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I checked the fuzes in my F150 to see if that was the reason my blinkers won't work I'm not sure what other steps to take. They were acting irregular before they ceased working at all. Sometimes they click once inside the dash when I attempt to use them.

First check all the bulbs. If the bulbs light up but don't flash you might need to replace your Flasher. If the bulbs do not light up use it tests light to check for power. If you have power you might have a bad bulb, bad ground, or bad connection. If you have no power at the socket, check for power at the Flasher both sides. Check the fuses. Last thing to do would be to get a wiring diagram and check for power coming of the turn signal. You could also have a broken or grounding wire. Good luck.

Hazards dont work but blinkers do

Blinkers and hazards normally work on the same fuse. Sounds like the hazard switch has a problem.Get the hazard switch out and bridge the two connector wires to the switch. If the hazards then work the problem is in the switch. If it don't work you may have a problem in the wiring between the switch and the flasher relay.

My 2004 f150 wont start. i drove it to the store and everything worked fine. when i came out of the store, the truck won't start. when i turn the key nothing happens. i can hear a clicking noise coming...

I would check your battery. I would also look for loose grounds. The clicking you hear is your fuel pump turning on. I would check your battery voltage and, have the battery load tested.

2001 ford f150. blinkers want work. brake lights want work. but the light at rear above back glass works when i press the brakes. help

you need first to determine the obvious as most people don't check to see if there brake lights work. make sure the bulbs are not burnt out. if you use the blinkers and the light stays on when you operate them that is usually an indication a light is burnt out.

Right side blinker (front) on 2005 Chevy Venture won't work!

Typical problems like this are usually related to the turn signal switch, or the bulb. However, it is possible that you have a loose connection in your turn signal housing. I would check the housing and wiring going to the bulb, first!

IF you rule that out, then next step is turn signal switch. This will be replacement of the unit.
