I have a 2001 chevy 2500 4+4 how do you reset the service engine soon and the airbag light they both stay on thanks

If your airbag light is on then there is a problem with the system and you need to bring it to a shop to get it checked out. As for the service engine soon light, for chevys, that is the same as the check engine light, if you have a scanner to hook up to the port under your dash, if not you have to bring it in to the shop to get that checked out also,
hope this helps :)

I am inquiring about a 2001 Chevy Silvardo. I am being told that there is a problem if the check engine light doesn't come on upon starting. Is it suppose to come on upon starting? Is there a problem if it...

Yes, the check engine light should come on upon starting the car, or turning the key to the on position. If it does not, either the light is bad, or it has been unhooked because of a code that has been set because of a problem. Also, if you live in a place that requires emissions testing, you will not be able to have it tested as the light coming on at start up is a requirement.
