I changed thefront pads on a 2003 Subaru Impreza

I changed the front pads on a 2003 Subaru Impreza and the brakes do not seem to grab as before. The rotors were turned and the pads were provided by Kragen's.

You may have air in the line, bleed the front brake lines, but the problem might be the new pads, the old pads may have been made of softer material & the new ones may be a harder material but apart from that there should not be any problem....hope this helps.....cheers

Hi. I own a 1997 Subaru Impreza Outback. The steering wheel vibrates upon braking. It is worse at higher speeds. Replaced front brakes and rotors a year ago. Thank you.

Good Evening, your problem is a normal wear and tear issue as that over time brake rotors can become slightly warped and the only time you feel it is when you step on your brakes. A normal rule of thumb on those systems is if you feel it in the steering wheel when you step on the brakes it is your front rotors, and if you feel it in your seat it is the rear rotors. Always change your brake pads at the same time you change your rotors to help the longevity of the brake pads. Glad to help.

How to change subaru impreza front brake pads its the four pot caliper ones with the two pins going through them

Only unbolt the bottom pin. The whole caliper assembly will swing up and then the pad replacement can be done. Not a very complicated set up. Good luck and have a great day.

My car is 1983 subaru gl wagon 4x4. i installed new front rotors, calipers, brake pads and hydraulic hoses. bled the brakes got air bubbles out. now front brakes stick, and drag. is there an adjustment?,...

often times the 2 pins that the caliper has and floats on need to be lubricated to allow the pads not to drag. you can purchas an antiseize lube from a parts store this will solve the issue
