The air vents in a Ford Mustang can be taken out if you need to replace them. Over time, the air vents might chip or crack. The procedure is as follows:--

  1. 1)Open the driver and passenger side door and remove the two screws on the end of the dash that hold the air vents to the dash.
    2) Pull the air vents off the dash. Take care you don’t damage the dash. Do it slowly and carefully.
    3) Pry up on the trim bezel in the center of the dash that covers the HVAC controls and the radio. Use the trim removal tool for this.
    4) Remove the screws holding the HVAC controls and the radio in place.
    5) Slide the HVAC and radio unit forward out of the dash.
    6) Remove the screws holding the center air vents to the dash.
    7) Pull the center air vents out of the dash.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

2003 Ford Explorer XLT Air Conditioning vents blow hot and cold

It sounds like the control motor switching from hot to cold is stuck halfway in between the two temp settings. You will have to take it down and replace it, it is mounted under dash passenger side near the blower motor.

95 mustang Still tring to get air to blow out vents will only blow hot air out the defrost holes... no matter if i put it on vent or AC or heat its the same temp and it comes from the defrost holes Some...

check the vacuum lines in the selector switch. the baffles that switch from hot air and cool air are vacuum controlled and if the lines are detached or cracked the suction will not move the baffles.

Air bag light is on

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.

Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault

My air condition works, but it's not blowing from dash board vent

If you're sure that A/C works, then all you need to do is to ensure that fuse for vents are still ok. If it is, then I'd suggest to disconnect vent motor located under the dashboard in passengers side, and using multimeter or just a simple no more than 5W lightbulb to check and ensure that current comes to the motor. after this step you'll be sure that motor is ok if there are no current. then the problem will be in control panel. I suggest you to take appart the control panel only if you are confident that you'll manage to put it back together.

Blower is on but no air comes out of the ducts

most fords control the vents with vacuum and if it looses vacuum the default mode is defrost. so check the source coming from the motor(sometimes its a electric pump but i think it will be feed form the motor for you) it will most likely go through the fire wall on the passengers side also there should be a resivour under the dash some where. you will just have to find the vacuum supply line and locate the leak.

97 mustang air conditioning

You have a vacuum leak, defrost is the default postion(no vacuum).Look under the hood on the passenger side at the firewall and find the small black vacuum line that goes inside the car.Trace this line back, you will find it goes to a black canister(which is the reserve supply) then it will leave this and go to a vacuum port on the intake manifold. You will most likely find a leak somewhere in theis line.
