Flashers and Relays REPLACEMENT Pickups The hazard warning flasher, on the pickup, is located to the left of the steering column, beneath the instrument panel, and is secured by a clamp and one screw. To remove it, simply unplug the electrical connector, loosen the screw, and slide the flasher out of the clamp. The turn signal flasher is located to the right of the steering column, beneath the instrument panel, and is secured in the same way as the hazard flasher. The turn the signal relay is located to the immediate right of the hazard flasher, and is secured by two screws. To remove it, unplug the electrical connector and remove the screws. MPV The relays and flashers are located under the dash, near the fusebox. Navajo Both the turn signal flasher and the hazard warning flasher are mounted on the fuse panel on the truck. To gain access to the fuse panel, remove the cover from the lower edge of the instrument panel below the steering column. First remove the two fasteners from the lower edge of the cover. Then pull the cover downward until the spring clips disengage from the instrument panel. The turn signal flasher unit is mounted on the front of the fuse panel, and the hazard warning flasher is mounted on the rear of the fuse panel. where do i find the flasher for the indicator - prev.gif next.gif

Alpha Romeo 156 My Left hand indicator light stays on continually, does not flash. and when I turn the hazard light switch on both indicators continually glow.

Generally speaking, symptoms of a bad or failing turn signal bulb are usually the culprit...in your case, either it's the front left or rear bulb. Varies for different vehicle makes...common signs include:
  1. turn signal light staying on solid
  2. or blinking very fast
  3. or either sides of the bulbs stop blinking altogether.
To test this, make sure you reconnect everything you disconnected.
Turn the left signal light on; go to the front of the vehicle, is the turn signal bulb illuminated? If it lights up, even though it is not blinking obviously the bulb is okay. If it doesn't, replace it- problem solved. You'll do the same procedure for the rear turn signal Is that lit up? If not replace the bulb and the problem is solved.
Another common failure is when the turn signal blinks really fast, same procedure as mentioned above.
If both bulbs for the left side and right side illuminate but don't blink, the problem is in the steering column turn signal switch.
If the left or right side blinkers don't work properly at all...then check the integrated hazard warning/turn signal flasher relay- that may be defective; again, that's usually the case if both sides of the signal light don't work.
If you are blowing any fuses related to the flasher system, you have an electrical overload in the turn signal circuitry.

My 2007 c 220 cdi rear turn signal do not work even after changing bulbs

You could potentially have bad flashers. Try looking up in your manual where your flashers plug in. Either in the fuse panel under the steering wheel or the power distribution block under the hood. Once located try replacing the flashers. The Flasher is sort of like a fuse that automatically completes the circuit giving power to the blinker then interrupts the current. It allows the circuit to alternate like this making the indicators flash on and off. You might look at the turn signal fuses while your at it.

Right front side turn signal does not work replaced all bulbs and checked fuses headlight flashers work when hazards are on front to back except driverside turn signal ,in dash right stays solid left

I don't believe it would be a bad ground for just one light. It could be a wire, a socket connector, or the bulb socket itself. See if the wire has power at the socket when signaling left, with key on. If there is power, probably a bad socket or connector. If no power, check for power coming from flasher-the wire going to front left, or driver's side. If you have power from the flasher, but nothing at the socket, the wire has probably broken.
Good luck.

Left side blinkers wont work 2006 scion tc

There are no fuses in that circuit, so the clicks in the dash indicate that the flasher relay is working. The turn signal switch may be defective, especially if the right side is OK. The replacement flasher relay could be defective

I need to find the flasher relay for a grand marquis 2001 .does it has one? My turn signals wont work I can hear the sound but don't even flash

Yes, it does have a flasher, although it may be a combined unit with the hazard flashers relay. So you hear the clicking of the flasher relay? That seems to indicate the relay is working properly. Have you checked the bulbs and the turn signal fuse? Any turn signal bulbs light up anywhere, front or back?
How about your brake lights, do they work? Your car may have separate, stand alone turn signals in the rear, but many American cars use the same bulb and same filament on the bulb for the brake lights and turn signals. If your merc is like this and the brake lights work, then the bulb must be good.
Turn on the hazard flashers and see if all bulbs work and flash at each corner of the car. This would be the same bulb as for the turn signals. If they work, it could be a bad turn signal switch, may even be the flasher relay somehow malfunctioning, and in a few cases, a bad hazard switch can affect the turn signal switch. Check fuses and bulbs first. If you have any type of body control module that controls lights and other accessories, you may have to investigate that. I know I'm not being very helpful, just throwing out a few suggestions. Good luck.

When u turn left turn signal on they flash really fast and the light on fender doesnt light up now with no turn signals on and you push horn button left side starts flashing with the fender on flashing...

dear,

firstly make all the bulbs glow in the indicator segment.
this will moderate the flasher speed as due to even one bulb fused, causes other bulbs to glow at high rate.

thanx

.. Hi there.
This is a typical earth problem. Some of the lights use the same earth and when some of the earth points are not good, the power go through the other lights. That is why some lights go's faster, it's all about resistants. Check all the earth points in the light holders and under the dash and also between the battery, engine and body. Good luck.

2004 Accord, left turn signal out, no indicator on dash, replaced both bulbs. Does signal flasher have seperate circuits for left and right side?

No, no seperate system. Your problem is generally caused by a burned out bulb, bad ground at tail light. A bad flasher would affect both sides. Front and rear must be good. Ck flasher plug in. Good Luck
