This could be a number of problems, but just check your air filter is clean, your spark plugs are in good order and not too worn, and that your fuel filter has been replaced in the last 5000 km.

If those are all ok then you need too look at HO2 sensors and MAP sensors.

Check the above first and let me know if you need more information.

Well my first guess would be that you need a new fuel filter. It isnt to expensive either, they should be able to do it at your local oil shop.

How much money in gas will i spend in a 224 mile trip, at $2.29 a gallon?

Depends on miles per gallon of vehicle. Average mpg of say 15 mpg would take 15 gallons to travel 225 miles.(15x15=225). At $2.29 per gallon @15 gallons=$34.35. So figure out mpg of your vehicle and do the math.

The gas mileage in my 2001 subaru forester has recently went down to 12 mpg for light city driving (3 or 4 miles per day in very light traffic). It is winter and I warm the car up for 5 to 10 mins every...

You mention it is winter , not sure where you are , but how cold does it get ,in other words are you using the aircinditioner/heater in the vehicle, and when last was the vehicle serviced,
Warming the car up is a good thing and should not use a noticible difference in the consumption.
LAst if you can take the vehicle to a dealer and ask them to read the ecu codes and see if the computer is reporting any problems could be something as simple as a dirty filters or throttle body , worth a try, let me know how it goes.

How many miles per one galoon

The gas tank holds 18.5 gallons and the car gets 17 - 25 miles per gallon. On the freeway you can expect around 24 mpg.
So for your trip you could go 330 miles on a tank of gas.
14 gallons x 24 mpg

I dont have a problem.i'm just trying to see if anybody know how i can get better gas milage.gas prices is killing me.i love my truck to the point that i'm on my 2nd one.i don't want to ge

fuel synthetic fluids in the motor along with a zinc additive, as well as full synthetics in all the diff's and gear boxes will help as well (i gained about 3/4 of a mile per gallon in my 96 tahoe this way) also ensure that you have an actuated front end, what i mean here is a front end that doesnt spin when not i 4wd. i went from 14 to 17 mpg in my ramcharger but switching it from full time to manual hubs. high end spark plugs and wires along with an upgraded coil will help gain you around 1/2 mile per gallon as well. ensure your tires are properly inflated. changing your driving habits will help to, for example i take plenty of time getting up to speed, this might upset people stuck behind you, but really...who cares? im able to get 21 mpg hwy and 17 in town in my 96 tahoe with a vortec 350.

Excessive fuel cosumption 1999 subaru forrester 2.0 turbo

Your mileage is just a little short of expected for this time of year. Winter driving does make mileage drop a bit. But your model should get closer to 24mpg in warmer weather. Tune ups and maintanance are the keys. Driving habits also make a huge difference. My Wife gets less mpg than I do. But I drive truck and am never in a hurry. I would just make sure all filters and fluids are new and good condition. Tire condition and alignment also play a large roll on MPG's. I hope this helps and have a great day.
