Question about 2006 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx

1 Answer

Hi, my CD player is busted in my 2006 Malibu Maxx LT V6. My CD player won't eject the current cd I have in it, but is still capable of playing the stuck CD. Is there anyway I can get it out?

I have the same problem!!! what i do is press eject i put the key in the cd slot and turn it sideways....and then a pair of tweezers easily fits in there and you can get it out. then to play a new one you have to put the cd in and press down on it with your ever so handy chevy key!!!

I will explain this better! Turn off the radio and turn the key to the on position. Press and hold DISP knob, when info comes on window press the seek arrow in tell you find what you need to reset. press the #1 button and it will beep. go back to the seek arrow and find exit. press the DISP knob again and you are done.

The unit needs a code to reset which should be on the front or back page of the manual.

My radio will not eject the cd that is in it, although it is still playing

unlike a CD player in a PC there is no manual eject button

there are only one way to get the cd out now and you will destroy the radio in the process

you can take the radio to a dealer who will send it out to a repair shop, but even when they get the CD out the player will still be inoperative

Remove the negative battery cable for 30 seconds. Connect it back up and you should be able to eject the CD.

The CD is stuck. It will play but won't eject.

Try removing the radio fuse for 30 seconds with the key off. The radio fuse is in the center console fuse box.

The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed

My CD player did the same thing on my 2005 Chevy Malibu MAXX LS.  I know it sounds weird, but disconnect the car battery from the car (resetting the whole car system), and then reconnect.  I pressed the eject button on the console, and it ejected my CD with no problem.
