Its possible that you need reset the warningn message; how to...:

Century (1997-2001), Regal (1996-2001), Roadmaster (1995-1996)

To reset the "CHANGE OIL" light, turn the ignition switch to the run position with the engine off. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times within 5 seconds. The light will flash twice and go out.

Hope helps to solve it. Keep in touch.

Change oil light is not the problem though , it is the service engine soon light on the right side of the dash console . Is this considered the same thing ? we have changed the oil every 3,000 miles

When turn ON the Check Engine, Service Engine Soon light, the simplest way is to visit your local dealer or a repair shop for
proper diagnostic. They have all the equipment and information needed to
diagnose and correct the problem. The problem might even be covered by
the manufacturers warranty and possibly repaired free of charge. Some
auto parts stores can also do the "Check Engine" light diagnostic for

When it finds a problem in the
electronic-control system that it can't correct, the computer turns on a
    yellow warning indicator
    that's labeled "check engine," "service
engine soon" or "check powertrain." Or the light may be nothing more
    than a picture
of an engine, known as the International
Check Engine Symbol, perhaps with the word "Check." In addition to
    turning on the
light, the computer stores a "trouble code"
in its memory that identifies the source of the problem, such as a
sensor or a misfiring engine. The code can be
read with an electronic scan tool or a diagnostic computer, standard
in auto repair shops. There are also a number
of relatively inexpensive code readers that are designed for

    Keep in midn that
disconnecting the battery might reset the check engine light on some
However, instead of doing so, I'd recommend to bring your car to a
dealer or a mechanic for proper diagnostic, and here is why:

    - not all cars will clear the code after disconnecting the battery

    - often, the problem may be actually covered by the warranty and
repaired free of charge by your dealer. For example, if you have the
code P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold it's very
possible that your catalytic converter is still covered by the original
emission warranty and might be replaced free of charge (would cost you
    close to $1000 otherwise).

    - some problems, if not repaired in time may cause a serious damage and
    more costly repair.

    - the Readiness code will be erased, which may prevent your car from
    completing an emissions test.
(Readiness code is an indication that certain emission control
components of your car have been self-tested)

    - the radio, if code-protected, may be locked after disconnecting the

    - the "check engine" light will come back anyway if the problem still

2003 Buick Regal Service Engine Soon light.

The error that I'm showing for error code P1133 is
P1133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1(Rear Bank).  I would suggest having both of your Oxygen Sensors replaced if you haven't already had that done.  Hope this helps.  Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa.

Service Engine Soon Light

On all cars and trucks that are 1996 or newer they have a system called obd2 and the computer monitors anything thats plugged into it like sensors. The light is on because your computer has found a problem with 1 or more of them. If you want to know what area is having a problem you need to have the codes read by a obd2 scanner or code reader some auto part stores do this for free or oil
change store or mechanic shop

Lifter noise when on start up then goes away after few minutes

These engines did make a little rattle when first cranked. Are you running an ac/delco filter? i have seen a lot of engines make noise from cheap oil filters. they will let all the oil drain out so when you start it has to fill the filter back up before getting oil to engine

2005 Prius change in MPG after dealer service

What was the weight of the oil that was put into the engine when it was changed? Prius engines are VERY PICKY about the proper weight of the engine oil. Trust me. I see this quite often. The wrong weight oil can do bizzare things, and def lower your mileage. Something you can check: Take off the tube leading to the throttle body, and look down into the intake. Do you see any oil laying in the intake manifold? If so, you DEF have the wrong weight oil. This will NOT set a Check Engine light, either. Hope this helps.
