Question about Toyota 4Runner
If you want to install an aftermarket starter relay, get the one with the 4 wires.
After the neutral safety switch or clutch switch (if manual transmission), cut the wire (going to the starter selenoid) and tape the end coming from the switch to the supply and positive wires in the relay, then tape the end of the wire going to the starter selenoid to the load side of the relay (supply and load wires are the thick ones), last, fasten the relays negative wire to a good chasis ground. This way, the relay will be operative and it will not interfere with the safety devices installed.
