Most likely one of two other things. Either both bulbs are burnt out (can happen) or the fuse for the brake lights is shot. Can test either with a volt meter on continuity test.

Brake lights not working

If you already tried the bulbs, fuses and relays:

There's a switch on your brake pedal arm the controls the brake lights. It may need to be replaced or adjusted.

Brake lights not working but running lights & turn signals work already changed brake switch

check all fuses using a test light or volt meter if they are all good test for voltage at brake light connection if you have voltage in and out of switch test for voltage at rear light sockets with someone holding foot on brakes if voltage is present replace bulb or socket if no voltage is present a wire between switch and socket is broke . but that is very rare.a fuse is usually the problem dont just visually inspect them

I replace my brake switch & my light don't work? when i stop

IF THE FUSES INSIDE THE CAR & UNDER THE HOOD HAVE ALL BEEN CHECKED WITH A GOOD FUSE TESTER, & THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH REPLACED, THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS NEXT. THE BRAKE LIGHTS GO THROUGH THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH SO THEY CAN BE USED AS TURN OR BRAKE LIGHTS. I'M ASSUMING THE BULBS ARE OK. REMOVE THE PLASTIC FROM AROUND THE TURN SIG. SWITCH. STAY AWAY FROM ANY WIRES THAT ARE IN THE YELLOW SLEEVE. THEY ARE AIR BAG WIRES. WITH BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THERE SHOULD BE POWER IN THE WHITE WIRE. IF THERE IS NO POWER IN THE WHITE WIRE, YOU MAY HAVE TO PUT A BYPASS WIRE FROM THE WHITE WIRE COMING OUT OF THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH TO THE WHITE WIRE GOING INTO THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH. IF THAT DOESN'T MAKE THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK, THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH MUST BE BAD.

I replaced light bulb and brake switch is there anything else that needs to be rp;acedto make brake light work

If you have already check fuses, and brake light's still don't work, it's going to be your turn signal switch, the brake light circit runs thought the brake light switch, if your car has a middle top brake light in back of rear window, most of the time that one will still work, and the turn signal will also work, but not the rear ones brake light's, when turn signal switch is bad, hope this was very helpful.

3.5s v6 2004 nissan quest. brake lights not working.Already check fuse. kish.

First, replace bulbs and then check brake light switch, which is located near the top of the brake pedal. Use a voltimeter or test light to verify that there's voltage at the switch connector. It's not bad idea to replace brake light switch. Also make sure the brake pedal is correctly adjusted.

2001 durango brake lights dont work ,already replaced brake switch

More than one possibility. Could be bad bulbs, damaged wires, bad turn signal switch (yes, the brake lights work through the turn signal switch) - has the vehicle been worked on recently?

20 amp fuse for brake lights continually blows out

you have a short in the wiring to your brake circuit.check the pedal switch,it could be cracked and shorting out.those switches are known for having the tail lights stay on until you hit it a few times.the other thing to check is the light assemblies.there may be enough corrosion to cause a short.instead of a fuse, wire a bulb across an open fuse.when the short shows up the bulb will light.use a 25 watt bulb.
