Hi
Sounds like a ground problom or bad socket to the frunt turn signal
if the socket liooks rusty or green color i would replace it. you can get a replacemint at a auto parts store. if it is the gound ,,, trace the wires back you will see where the light has a wire grouns to the frunt radator suport remove the bolt here and clean it up,, this should get you going........ Let me know if i can help more

My turn signals on my 1988 Jeep Comanche dont work.

My first guess would have been the turn signal switch, which you said you replaced.
You'll have to get a wiring diagram of the switch and start testing wires for power out of the switch. Could be a problem with the main harness going back to the rear of the truck, or a ground for those sockets.

drove mine to the ends of the earth,
there are 4 books,
big main , engine, and one for trans, no PDFs back then so, none sold. just paper books.
its and old car, very old, not too many left run 1988
with that nasty French REniX EFI system/.end rant
I had the 1988 XJ too, a pair of jeeps. then....

i can see your wiring is all messed up
and grounds.

got a voltmeter,
if not only guessing and wire inspections may work
ever consider get a sparks guy to fix it? He can and easy.
I promise.
for me to teach you electrics in this box, is over the top hard.

id have inspected all those wires, every inch
and #1 is trailer wiring hacks at the rear.
the tails are not tails
if you its Parking lamp after the front parking lamps or side markers can not be called TAIL,but yes, some fuses are still using the old 1884 now TRAIL name
check fuses yet, means test them ones that look good test.
using a METER.

.
.i see there are shorts on the KEY switch IGN out pin
for sure.!! radio is off key OUT and off.

Signal lights dont work when breaking

No,this is not normal, this normal when the emergency flashers are on,but not the turn signals.Check the bulbs(all of them)in the rear tail light assembleys. If you can not tell which bulbs are bad, replace them all.Does this vehicle have a trailer light plug?If it does,it could be in it.After the bulb replacement(look at bulbs in your hand to see if filiments are burned)replace the turn signal flasher. To find it turn key on,and left or right turn signal on,and listen, and feel for it under dash around the steering column.

Break Lights won't come on in my 1988 Jeep Comanche

Why replace the whole fuse box? That's rediculous. If you can't find the fuse box, just fix the affected circuit. Did they check the brake switch?
