First off , check to make sure the key position in the off position, then try pulling it out.. Second thing you do is get some pliers, to help your grip on the key, and pull back hard while wiggleing up and down..(NOT SIDE TO SIDE!) It should release.

Same thing happend to me and I looked in the book and it said to remove the little lid directly under the steering column and stick your finger in the hole and there is a tiny key release button just to the left if you feel with your finger. press it and your key will come out. jump your battery and there you have it.

Ingnition problem

Sounds like it could be the switch, you can bypass the ignition switch and touch the two positive wires together from the solenoid to see if it cranks over. Be very careful make sure it is in not in gear.

I have a 95 buick-new battery-turn key & nothing happens-won't turn over&where is the starter located

The starter is where the engine joins the gearbox, usually on the engine side. Check that he wiring it connected at the starter and the ingnition switch. Make sure the battery terminals are good and clean and tight. Otherwise the starter solinoid may be faulty, or the starter itself.

My hhr will not turn off, where is the battery so i can disconnect it

Unplugging the battery won't shut it down I don't think.

Get into your fuse box under the dash or in the engine compartment and pull the fuse for the fuel pump.

'91 LS400, trunk will not open. key will not turn, electric latch switch clicks but won't open. valet lock in open position. Tried 1) disconnect battery, reconnect battery, use switch, push down on...

If you hear the sound of the electric latch switch, then it's working but stuck somehow. Just put the key in the switch and turn it to the right and then pull up the trunk or ask someone to help you. it will open. I tried it today and it opened with me. It was stuck from inside by some kind of a broken plastic pieces. Just removed it and now it's working fine. good luck
