The flasher is located under the dash and is cylindrical and measures about 1.25" in diameter.

Get an electronic flasher rather than a mechanical one, because they last longer and are more reliable.

Yes, you can change it yourself, although pulling the old one off will be tougher than putting the new one on.

1992 Ford Tempo GL; turn signal flashers. Where located, and cost? Or do it myself ? Thank You. ea

I would say check your owners manual but you probably don't have one.
There should be two flashers, one for the turn signals and one for the hazards. The hazard flasher is usually on the fuse box near the steering column and the turn signal flasher is in the wiring harness under the dash.

How to change flasher unit 0n 2002 Saturn L-series

WARNING The flasher unit for turn signals should not be switched with a flasher unit for the hazard lights. To check the filaments of all of the turn signal bulbs and the brake lights, turn on the hazard flashers and walk around the car.
A flasher can be located in the fuse panel, under the dash in the wiring loom, in a glove box, under the hood, or somewhere else.
f36-02.jpg A fuse panel. Most flashers are located under the dashboard on the driver's side. When working properly, a flasher is easy to locate because it makes a ticking sound. When it is not functioning, a service manual may be needed to help locate it. Lighting company catalogs generally have pages listing the location of flashers.
To replace a flasher:
  • A flasher features two or three prongs that plug into a socket.
  • Just pull the flasher out of the socket and replace it with a new one.

Flasher on dash keeps clicking when off , changed flasher button already.

This is a problem I have with my 04 Pontiac also. I have found that this problem can stem from a contact switch located in the steering column. The switch can just be dirty or can have failed. The part after some research is just over $100 but the labor part Iam unsure of as it requires the steering column to be taken apart. I have been unwilling to attempt this myself as of yet and have been dealing with the clicking sound (louder music seems to help with that too) Hope this is helpful

Where is the turn signal flasher located?

Your signal flasher is located behind your hazard switch. I had the same problem myself. I repaired myself took about a half hour. Pick up a repair manual in Pep boys it will help you it's pretty easy.

Fiat Punto indicators

you need to change the flasher unit .... also check fuse # 24 on the fuse panel inside the vehicle. the flasher unit should be just under the dash on the steering wheel side... i have alot of information on that vehicle but i couldn't find where exactly the flasher unit is located.
