2001 f350 brake pedal goes to floor abs light on

Your abs light is a fault light & codes will be present
& used to diagnose the failed system, as any other
MIL Lamp or coded fault

Why the pedal goes to the floor will be found as you
work your way thru factory trouble charts using the codes

You could have a fluid leak, so check the basic mechanicals
as well

Check & replace if necessary the brake pedal switch placed above pedals on the support.
If the problem still occurs you might access the ABS ECU (Electronic Control Unit) using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) memored.
Then you will be able to replace bad piece(s) and fix the problem by erasing all DTC stocked inside ABS ECU & reset it.

Abs light and brake come on and pedal goes to the floor easily could not find any leaks

you could have a master cylinder leaking that won`t always show an external leak.you may also have an internal abs hydraulic module leak, you can check the master cylinder by having someone push on the pedal and cracking the lines loose and the fluid should spray out under alot of force,if not then the seals internal of the master are not doing their job.also by unbolting it from the brake booster and pulling it away from the booster and look at the rear of the unit to see if it is damp or wet if it is then it should be replaced.you don`t have to remove the brake lines to check this.if the master checks out good then i would say you have a bad abs module.

1999 DODGE Dakota abs & brake light are on and brake pedal goes right to the floor but the vehicle does stop at slow speed

sounds as if there might be a brake fluid leak somewhere in the system.check the master cylinder to see if the brake fluid is low or almost empty,if the fluid is up then it could be a master cylinder that has an internal leak(meaning the fluid is leaking past the internal seals but not leaking out of the cylinder).it also can be a problem with the abs hydraulic control module leaking.you should have the abs system checked for any codes in that system which may help find the problem quicker,if you don`t find any problem with the other suggestions

2001.5 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 4x4 Brake Pedal drops to floor

It sounds like you have a bad mastercylinder cause when you panic brake it doesn't have time to bleed through the valve in the cylinder but under normal braking your foot is on pedal longer in turn giving the fluid time to bypass the valve in the mastercylinder in turn the pedal going to the floor.

If the brake pedal goes to the floor with the car off, I would suspect air in the system or some other issue with the service brakes. If you feel and hear a growl in the pedal when it goes to the floor then your abs controller may be at fault. There are many possibilities. In either case if your pedal goes to the floor, then you are looking at a safety issue. Generally the service brake system (regular brake system) is the fault and not the abs. I have however seen a sticking dump valve or faulty wheel speed sensor cause an abs issue. Start with the basics first. Leaky wheel cylinders/ calipers, brake lines, or master cylinder. Verify the hydraulic integrity of the service brakes before tackling an abs issue.
