This is common on the 03-05 Cavalier instrument clusters, it's caused by failing stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board and can be fixed. Check out this site for more on how to get it repaired - Cavalier gas gauge broken

1997 ford expedition eddie bouer addition at the same time my oil, battery, and temp gauge started reading high why the speed and gas gauge is bottomed out but the tech gauge works fine

a guess
thats a lot of sensors to fail all at once
may need an auto electrician
.any fuses blown
if happened all at once
voltage overload/spike from alternator regulator
or huge short / wire loom melt ....

Gas gauge doesnt work

Yes the gauges are on a fuse marked gauges.
I think that fuse is in the interior box, could be in the glove compartment, under the instrument panel, or on either end of the dash where the door closes. Your owner's manual should help you there.

What do I do if I the gas gauge and speedometer doesnt work?

No help but my gauges stopped working at about the same time on my '98 Frontier. So far, the fuel, temp., speedometer, odometer and trip gauges don't work or some work at different times after starting the engine.

depending on how fast, this happens, could be an air lock in cooling syste, or a bad head gasket, or head. does the gauge ever go too high? can you hear gurgling in the rad, and does it ever push out coolant?

Bad acceleration

Your catalytic converter needs to be replaced. It's becoming clogged, and preventing your exhaust from escaping properly.

Temperature gauge sticking on one temp

160 is a common temperature for a thermostat but the sticking is a problem.
I assume this is an analog gauge? Is there no movement at all?
If there isn't, then the gauge itself has failed and will require replacement. It's rare that these primative gauges fail but it can happen.
