yes,i know how to get a cam shaft that is 1 piece out. this one snapped in 2 pieces!! how do i get the other half out??????

One way to remove the camshaft is pushing it thru the back of the engine where the rear camshaft bearing is. You may need to remove the front camshaft bearing if the camshaft is broken past it. In order to do this, it is necessary to have enough room to maneuver, maybe even remove the engine.

Where is my camshaft position sensor located on a 2008 chevy aveo

It should be located between the cam shafts. If you remove the Beauty Cover (( that's what they call the cover across the top of the motor. )) And then the Valve Cover. The Cam Sensor will be sitting between the Cam Shafts. Closer to the Intake Cam Shaft.

Will a 1994 4L60E camaro transmission fit into a 1999 chevy 1500 ?

I doubt it. Most of the time the truck trans has the mounts in a different place and the tail shaft is a different size.
A trans shop or a salvage yard should be able to tell you for sure. Salvage yards have interchange info.

if you didnot mark rotor orientation before removing pyt engine on top dead center # 1 cyl line roter up to #1 plugwire post on dist cap with a light look down the shaft bore for a slot that matches the end of dist shaft if they do not match p[osition get a long screw driver an turn the shaft in engine until they do then drop dist you may have to turn the rotor backwards about a tooth when you start to drop whn the cam and dist gears mesh it will line up oil pump drive shaft to dist shaft

Broken cam shaft

I think the first thing is to find out what else went wrong. It is only the valves that could have been affected depending on where the shaft broke. $1500 seems to be on the high side.

I would ask the dealer to remove the cylinder head then I would take it for reconditioning myself (service. replace valves and cams) and give it back to the dealer for fitting.

It is in the tail shaft of the transmission. It will stick out at a 45 degree angle on the driver's side of the tail casing.
