Question about Ford Mustang
Sorry to Hear about this problem:
#1) Well 1st of All don't know if you've checked your Universal Joints or Not,But They can cause this Vibration,Exspecially when there almost Gone(Roller Bearings) in the Caps.
#2) But if the Vehicle was driven for any Length of time Low or Almost Empty ,Which sounds like the Problem ,since you have already seen the Yoke Seal on the Differential Leaks.
#3) You will Probally find a lot of Metal Shavings in the bottom of your 3rd member, when you open it up..
#4) The Damage this can Cause is Your Ring Gear,Pinions Left and Right,Carrier Bearings are Shot,And your Axle Bearings were also affected. So Basically the only good that you'll gain is the Rear End Housing.
#5) Also if its taken out your Axle Bearings Your Axles also may not be Worth Re-Using.
Either completly Rebuilt .but I recommend you find a Complete Replacement of Your Differential.
Please let me know how i've helped you By voting on the Quality of my Solution was,and a Testamony would be Appreciated.
