IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your VW radio from the car manufacturer! For VW radio the sequence of programming is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
3. By the #1 key you will set up the first safe code digit.
4. By the #2 key you will set up the second safe code digit.
5. By the #3 key you will set up the third safe code digit.
6. By the #4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

Radio code for my 2003 vw jetta premium 6 radio

If it is not in the owners manual you will likely need to provide the vehicle vin # and registration to a VW dealer Parts Department and they can call it in to the manufacturer and get it for you.

I have a VW Jetta 1997 with a 2.0 liter gas engine and I was wondering what oil that motor takes. Also I was wondering how to get the radio/Cd player working

The oil to use is 10/40 semi synthetic(VW fit 10/40 full when, new but dealers buy gemini 10/40 direct from VW for all services for cars over 5 years old).with regards the stereo system,if its the original and it says CODE then you will need to find the code(dealer) or get the thing recoded.

I need a code to reset the radio in my 2007 VW Jetta, battery died and the radio no longer works.

You have to visit a VW dealer, They will remove the radio with a special tool and enter the radio's serial number into VW's data system. This will retrieve the code. If you have owned the car from new, the code was on a tag in the owner's manual. It may still be there even if it is a used car.

To get the code, you can to go to a VW dealer, or you can try their
website support page and e-mail them that you need your radio code all they need is your VIN# and your radio serial # to get it for you...
I got for mine at a dealership, they ran the serial number on the radio and gave me the unlock code for free.

My radio does not work anymore after the alarm was set off twice

What year and model. The radio is locked out. If the radio is written safe get a battery charger on it turn the radio on (preferrably key on and handbrake to shut off the lights) to make sure the radio doesn't shut off. Next leave it on about an hour or an hour and a half or until the display changes to 4 digits. Enter the code then and follow your manual nad the radio will be ok. You just need that 4 digit code. If you don't have it you need to pull the radio out and get the serial number and your vin to get it from VW.
