You could always pick up a sumit catalog or goto there webs site and order an exhaust system, they are easy to put together and fun.its cheeper than going to a shop saves you the labor charges

My lincoln navigator has no power an shake alot

Since you mention nothing about trouble or warning lights, or about how long this has gone on, I would start with inspecting the air intake (has something been pulled up into it blocking the passage?, is the air filter completely plugged?), and then the fuel system, the fuel pump & filters, expecting the pump to be weak and near complete failure if you find no other valid reason for your vehicle to run this way.

The only other thing that doesn't trigger a warning light that I can think of is the exhaust system from the Catalytic Converter, and components behind it. If the converter is bad, the exhaust pipe behind it will rarely get hot as the converter is plugged.

You can eliminate the fuel pump issue by testing with a pressure tester. A heat sensor or just checking out the exhaust up close without getting burned will tell you if it's the exhaust system.

Beyond that, you'll need to start testing sensors.
Good luck !

Muffler pipe rusted and broke clean in half, but actual muffler is new.

NEED TO TAKE VECHICLE TO MUFFLER SHOP LET THEM FIX RUST PIPE WITH A NEW PIPE.LET MUFFLER SHOP FIX BECAUSE THEY CAN WELD JOINT SEAL BOTH NEW EXHAUST PIPE AND NEW MUFFLER SO YOU WONT GET CARBON MONOXIDE POISON LET MUFFLER SHOP CHECK ALL THE EXHAUST SYSTEM BECAUSE THE WHOLE SYSTEM COULD BE RUSTED DROP DOWN WHILE DRIVING YOU PROBABLY NEED NEW EXHAUST PIPE HANGERS.

Vehicle starts and idles poorly or cuts out Has correct fuel pressure Has spark and injection Does not have a blocked exhaust Runs lean (idle improves with the use of aerostart)

sounds like a fuel issue i would recommend replacing the fuel filter it is a cheap and easy fix after that if the problem persists then i would take it to a shop to get a free diagnosis in order to find out if it is your fuel injectors or your fuel pump. more symptoms of a bad fuel system would be extreme drop in rpm when put into drive, choking or sputtering, large amounts of smoke from the exhaust pipe, or complete shut down of motor after running.if you need any instruction on removal and installation of any part please comment back on this post thank you, and good luck.

Head gasket replacement procedure

the procedure is too complicated to write in, get a good manual, drain all the fluids, you will have to bringtheheads to a machine shop for inspection, get new head bolts, a good torque wrench and angle meter, buy a complete gasket kit , intake, head, exhaust ,and such, and acouple of days time, mark all the bolts and brackets as you remove them, good idea to take pics as you go along

Need exhaust from cat back. What do you think the

It all depends who is doing the job, and what their hourly rate is. Exhaust systems are not cheap, and the labor rate is most likely around a 100 an hour, and it should take about 45 min to an hour to complete the job + parts. Expect to spend at least $500....hopefully less...shop around 1st.

I have 96 Caprice Classic...muffler has begun making quite a throaty rumble...I took to Monro Muffler...they said I need to replace from Manifold all the way to back....they want some $600. Anybody have...

I can't see your exhaust system, but I do recommend that you have them show you the "why" of it. Generally the front pipe and the cat last a long time and generally don't need to be replaced very often. If the flanges are rusted and have failed there are "wrap around" replacements that can be used without pipe replacement. Most common is to change everything from the cat back. As I said, have them actually show you what is wrong...or take it to another shop and without telling them the original findings, have them look at it!!! Since there is very little involved except a visual inspection, most shops will not charge or will charge very little for this.
