If it only shakes at 55 and quits above or below that speed then it is a wheel that needs balancing. You probably lost a wheel balance weight look on the outer and inner wheel for missing weight you can usually see where it was before it fell off.

Why would the front end start shaking at speeds above 55mph?

It could be
- out of balance rims and tyres
- bent rim after a pothole
- worn tie rod ends
- loose lug nuts
- worn steering end ball joints (if fitted)
- loose or worn steering box mounts

and so on. Take it to a front suspension or tyre shop in case it is a sign of something serious.

Why would my front end shake at 40 mph than quits at 55mph?

Im just askn...Does your steering wheel also shake? I,d start small look for any thrown wheel weights, wheel bearings, I would like the front end up so that the wheel are off the ground, rock the tire top backn forth and the same from side to side. Check you wheel balance. Another thing to check would be your sway bar bushings..I know nothing about your rig so im guessing!

Set the homelink garage door opener on a range rover 1997

I had the same problem and found the solution in the owner's manual in the Home Link section. Go thru the manual page by page because it is not listed in index section.

My front end shakes sometimes over 55mph

There could be multiple possibilities to why this is happening. If by front end you mean your bumper, check the connection that connect the bumper to the frame. If you are missing some bolts, it will definately change the way your vehical drives. Your suspension may also be shot. Your car if fairly old, so that is not too unlikely. You may be in need of new shocks. I would also check your tires. If your tires are worn and lopsided, it will shake at high speeds as well. I hope this helps!

If there is know seperation in the tires, and none of your rims are bent...Have someone check the front is possible that you may have a bad inner or outer tie-rod...easy to replace, and you have to get the vehicle re-aligned...Goodluck
