Question about 2001 Nissan Altima
I have the very same problem with my 99 Nissan Altima. I have replaced both the belt and the tension idler. I believe it may be the AC idler pulley.

The belt is the most likely culprit could also be the belt tension idler that puts tension to keep the belt adjusted
