How do you turn on the back screen in a 2006 toyota sequoia dvd?

How do you turn on the back screen in a 2006 toyota sequoia dvd player without the remote? we are trying to get the remote, but in the meantime, does anyone know how to do this?
we have sound and can navigate through chapters, but cannot watch the movie, any help is greatly appreciated!

Previous Post dead wrong...

Turn ignition to "ON" position. Make sure odometer is on trip setting not on total vehicle mileage setting.

Turn ignition OFF

Push and hold odometer button while turning ignition to "ON" position. HOld for about 4-5 seconds until maintenance light goes off. Turn ignition OFF. Start up vehicle. There should be no more maintanence light.

You need to remove the coil packs that are located above the valve cover. It is important to get the correct spark plugs from toyota. Aftermarket plugs are not recommended.

set the mileage when the odometer is showing. put the key to off position. press and hold the reset button then turn the key to on position, do not start. then continue holding the reset button until the reading stops to zero or blank. turn it off, that should reset the light indicator

I just bought a 2006 Toyota Sequoia Limited. It has the original DVD Player that came with the car that flips down from the ceiling. I insert a DVD and can hear the sound but I don't see the DVD in the...

toyota wiring diagram is showing that there is no cables and only wires with connectors that are located in the headliner and the center console about where you can store stuff.........the repair manual shows that it is either the screen that is bad or the control unit which is under the center console....i would take it to the dealer to have it checked out cause i know that they have probably seen this problem before and it would save a lot of money in the long could have had something spilled or have gotten wet from a cleanup shop and have corrision in one of the connectors at the control unit under the console......i hope this info helped and let me know and let me know what you find out...........good luck and if i can be of any other help let me know.....

The DVD screen (suspends from roof) is blank/black. You can hear the movie, so I believe the player is working. Replaced the batteries in the remote already as well.

Usually sound is heard through car speakers not by screen... so there might be power problem with screen. If not, you just need to check video cable connected vetween player and screen.

as you hear the sound, means there is communication! double check video cable connection: you should be using 3 connectors cabling (Red, White and yellow). make sure same color for video both ends....good luck

As long as the "VSC OFF" is not illuminated, the VSC is ON.
