Check the distributor shaft. They have a history of developing finite cracks that causes the condition your describing. Let me know if I can help you with any other info.

SOURCE: Stumbles/cuts out,on acceleration

We had the same problem with our Blazer, and after thousands of dollars and multiple shops returning it to us.....It was the fuel lines on top of the motor. one of them had a small crack in it. Vortec is FAMOUS for it. scence then I ll buy other peoples head aches and sell them. wish I would have known sooner

You might consider replacing the cam sensor. The computer relys on this signal in order to generate spark timing.

SOURCE: The idle has an intermittant stumble

Your Idle Air Control (IAC) valve may be dirty with carbon, simple fix with throttle body cleaner through the IAC passageway through the throttle body. Make sure it's throttle body cleaner and not carburetor cleaner, the carb cleaner is to corrosive to the gaskets used on the throttle body.
If cleaning the IAC does not help, then it's a good chance that the IAC is to far gone and will need to be replaced.
Good luck and thank you for using fixya

My 2005 Sebring runs fine until I spend more than 10 min in stop and go traffic, then engine light comes on and engine stumbles as soon as it hits 2200 rpm, will not exceed that rpm driving or in park....

Scan the engine computer for trouble codes, and go from there. with the light on, there will be a code or more to follow. Some stores, like Autozone, will do code scans for free. If you get a lot of codes, first attend to those that indicate the problem you are having.

I would suspect the MAF sensor is defective. It is one part that will not set a fault code when it goes bad.

I have a 98 seebring that the transmission was making a winding noise. The guy at Auto zone told me to add Lucas to the fluid. Everything seemed fine, until the next day. The car only made it one block....

its a possibility that the tranny filter is plugged up, and not pumping any fluid to rest of tranny. thats why it is still cold, it just sits there. or the pump itself is bad. change fluid and filter first to find out.

The car is stumbling and hesitating While the engine hot is

Take it to a mechanic and have the cooling system checked, could be a bad coolant sensor.

My 2004 Sebring heater only blows warm air when the car is moving. If I stop at a traffic light or put it in park it blows cold air. Any ideas?

1st check the coolant level. If it's low, what you describe will happen. If level is ok, let me know, and include info on engine temp gauge--how long to warm up, is gauge at warm up low temp range, normal, or hot?

Camry running hot in stop and go traffic.

if the fans are running fine then it's not a fuse. it could be the thermostat going bad. if it continues to happen i would change that.

Oil light flickers at traffic light stop. Engine at about 500RPM

as long as you have checked the basics, its possible its idling to low,if its ok when engine is cold and only happens when hot,(oil gets thin when it gets hot) i would recommend having oil pressure checked with a gauge

The car when hot or cold may stumble and/or die at a stop sign and it may also do it going 70 mph down the road. It will catch itself and start running.

This may be the early sign of a blown head or gasket. Check your coolant to make sure it doesn't have oil in it or appear to be oily. This is the first thing that I would check.
