Sounds like there is a bad conection at the starter
under the left side of the jeep you will see the starter its is by rhe oil pan on top there is 2 wire conections see if it is looose here.
if your going to snug the eire ends up disconect the battery first

92 jeep wrangler won't start battery is good and so is the starter. turn key and just get a click at the starter

there are a couple things that cause the clicking, you either have a bad starter sylinoid or usually a bad connecton at the battery or starter its self, that click is usually just a bad connection issue

Jeep won't start

we had a jeep with similar conditions at my college and we found it to be the crank sensor and it started and continued to run so test the connection and see if there is 5 volts going to the sensor

First, make sure you can turn the engine by hand. If you can't then the starter can't turn it either. Have someone else turn the key and look for the source of the click...may be a relay. Go over the starting circuit with a volt meter. Check for power at the starter main terminal and then with the key turned to "start" check for power at the trigger terminal on the starter. Check battery voltage and check relay operation.
You have a neutral safety switch on the transmission if its an automatic and a clutch switch if it's a stick. Check them as well. Make sure battery grounding on fender and block are also clean and secure.

Put the key in the ignition and turn it on and off (3) times without starting the jeep, leaving it in the on position count the (1) flashing indicator Light, Eg: (5) flashes, Then there will be a pause, then it may flash (3) times, this is a code #53. Keep your Eye on them and write them down. If you should miss (1) Repeat as many times as needed, Info: A #55 means there are no codes!!
