"Hot-wiring" a car is fiction for TV and movies. Even if you could start the vehicle by crossing some wires, you still need the key to unlock the steering wheel and deactivate any security system that it may have.

You are better off removing the electrical ignition swith and using that. this is a hard one as you need the computer to read the key chip and you would need to power up all computers, you would need the key and use the ignition switch to start other wise one wrong power wire will fry your computer.

Temperature gage not working

These cars and their Monte Carlo cousins were notorious for wiring problems with the two wires coming off the temp sensor. Backtrack the wires for about the first 14" off the sensor and you will probably find a swell or a limp spot. When the computer loses this signal the computer doesn't the engine temp.

2004 impala blower motor

The purple wire voltage, black wire is ground, at the blower motor. At the blower motor control processor, the red wire is a fuse protected circuit, hot all the time. With hvac off, if nothing on the speed control circuit, doesn't the problem have to be the control processor? Do you see it differently? Just my opinion.
