Well, for one it won't hold a charge for long, if any. You can take the battery up to Wal-Mart, Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, etc. and they will check your battery for FREE!

Batery wont charge when u jump,, new battery 5 months ago

You need to go to auto parts store and have them check that the alternator is charging the battery. They do this for free. Also have them check the battery to make sure that there is not a bad cell in the battery. This can happen from time to time. if all of that is good u may have a drain on the battery. Check that all lights go out when u shot down the car.

basic voltage drops will affect the running of any electronic ignition system..change the battery with a good one and this should go away..have the battery tested at the parts store and they can tell imediately if its bad..

Car battery is not charging

Its possible that you either have a bad alternator or a bad battery. If you can drive the car to the nearest autozone they can check the alternator and battery there and swap either out for you. If you cant drive it then you should first remove the battery and take it to an auto parts store that will test it for you to tell you if its bad or not, if its not bad then most likely your alternator is bad but before you do any of these things check to make sure the battery cables are secure to the battery and to the starter and the ground point on the car.

Doge 2004 battry light on

If your battery light is on it means your battery is not charging fully. It could be your battery cables are loose and/or corroded at the battery, your battery is going bad or your alternator is failing. If cleaning the cable ends does not help, most part stores can hook up a load tester for free, and tell you if it's a bad battery or your alternator not working.

How can i tell if my starter is going bad? I had

It may not be the starter. The battery could have a weak or dead cell in it and not holding a charge.
The alternator could be bad and charging the battery.
If you have a volt meter, or can get one, with the car running, put the leads from the meter to the battery terminals, red positive, black ground.
Put the meter switch to 12 volts. If the meter reads 14 to 15 volts, the alternator is ok, below that it isn't charging. If it does read 14 to 15 volts, replace the battery.
By the way, the starter is ok, or it wouldn't have started with a jump.
It's more a battery/alternator issue. Clean the battery terminals first and see if that makes a difference.

I brought my 2006 Chevy Cobalt new. My problem is when I am attempting to turn the car on it will not turnover. It continues to read either check airbag, charge is low or something else. Can someone please...

If it's telling you charge is low, it's probably telling you the battery is low
You may have a charging system problem or a bad battery. I see the car is only two years old but, I've seen batteries fail right away it's not out of the question. I would get it to a shop and have the battery and charging system checked. As far as the air bags go, there may be a problem there, that is draining the battery. A bad battery will make these newr cars do all kinds of strange things, I guess I'd start with the battery.
