If you are talking about the odometer display does not show numbers, here is a detailed instructions on where to find the cold solder joints at :
http://www.f150online.com/forums/electrical-systems/373597-intermittent-odometer-repair.html

This is if the cluster lighting still works, but the display is blank. Don't know if you mean the gauges in the cluster do not work.

This may sound unprofessional but whack the dash a few times with your fist right above the instrument panel and the odo will appear. This is not a permanent fix but it will stay for a little bit. Otherwise you must replace tge whole cluster

Odometer light is out Buick 2001 Regal

I am about to repair the 4 resistors in my mother's 2001 regal. I saw it on youtube. Looks simple. My mechanic said he will remove the dash for me. I never soldered before, but willing to try. Don't go to dealer, they want $600 to fix it, parts cost $1.99 plus solder iron, $10. $12 total.

it should be labeled as your instrument lights on the fuse panel probably same as cig lighter,or get a manual from your local auto parts store, could also be the bulbs check them.

Dash lights & tail lights are not working but every thing else is need help to locate fuse for it 2002 ford f150

The parking lamp circuit feeds the instrument illumination fuse

The parking lamp fuse is engine compartment Fuse # 6
After the main headlamp switch the cab fuse panel fuse # 18 is the fuse for the instrument illumination.

Don't forget to turn the main headlamp switch to at least the park position when you test the fuse with a meter.

Digital mileage display

There is an issue with some MYs that the digital odometer goes blank on the 99-03 MY trucks.

The problem is with cold solder joints on the Instrument cluster.

F150online has a how to in the electrical forum, that shows where to look for the cold solder joints.

If you are hand with taking apart a dash, and using a soldering iron, then it is a bit time consuming, but cheap to fix.

The dealer will want to replace the Instrument cluster, and reprogram the HEC with your keys ( the PATS part ), which would be 600+ to have done.

Speedometer on 1999 Ford F-150 works intermittently.

I'm thinking that you're refering to the green digital odometer? It's a common problem. My 99 F150 does it. There are some bad soldered connections on the back of the instrument panel. Go to this website at F150online.com for more info:

1992 ford f150 instrument panel lights

most likely, some of the dash will have to be removed to access the screws securing the instrument cluster. dash pieces often "snap" in and out rather than being held in with screws. once its free, you often cannot remove it completely due to the steering wheel, rather than removing it, you can usually get the panel in a position where the bulbs can be accessed from the back. see if you can find a picture of the instrument panel from an online parts distributor, this will show you where the holes are for the securing screws. dont pull to hard once you get it free as you do not want to damage the wiring that goes to the instrument panel, many times you need to reach behind it and disconnect the harness from several places before it can be manuvered around.
