Question about Toyota Paseo
Here are some causes that can give you cold start problem.
Low fuel pressure - Check fuel pump pressure.
Vacuum Leak - Check vacuum hoses for cracks or loose connections.
Disconnected hot air tube to air cleaner - Reconnect tube.
Defective IAC va;ve (Intake Air Control Valve) - Check valve operation and circuit.
Open, misadjusted or defective TPS (Trottle Position Sensor) - Check operation and adjust or replace it.
EGR valve open - Test valve
Defective Oxygen Sensor - Test sensor
PCV Valve = Check valve by shaking it, should hear a rattling noise, if not replace.
Most of this problems would turn the check engine light on, if so, take vehicle to an Autozone or other autoparts store to have codes scanned, it will save you time finding the problem.
