Ok i run into these alot first check make sure condensor in front of raditor don't have mangled fins if looks ok there is the high pressure hose right in front of radiator it always leaks at the crimp from rubber to metal or behind the silver insulation there it rubbed a spot on the rubber hose by the cooling fan. them hoses are 95 bucks.if the high pressure vibrate badly when you charge system up the compressor goes bad in them alot too. something to look out and listen for.

2001 Hyundai accent. The smell is coming from the air conditioner . The coolent is leaking a slow leak, but they can't find where it is coming from. The smell is not good. Any help would be great.

If the leak is that hard to find then I will tell you what I have done. There is a product called ****. Buy a can of **** follow the instructions carefully and the leak will stop. I used this product many times even when the heater core was leaking and after 2 to 3 years still no leak. As time goes by the real leak may show up, if the hoses and connections are good I would use this product.

I charge my air conditioner on my truck and my air will only stay cold for about one week then starts to get warm again. It used stay cold longer. The longer I prolong, the shorter time span for cold air.

It sounds as if you have a leak in your ac system. There are kits that allow you to add ultraviolet dye to the system. After running the system you can trace the dye to find the leak. In your case I think you could locate it in a day or two. Once found, repair the leak and evacuate and charge the system. I highly recommend having a vacuum pulled on the system since it has been low numerous times.
Good hunting

Air conditioner isn't blowing cold air

Could be a number of things...electrical connections causing the compressor not to run. Turn on AC and turn your thermostat all the way to cool...now visually check to see if compressor is engaged and not just free wheeling. Most likely you lost your refridgerant due to leak in the system...would need to find leak and repair then have your system re-charged with refridgerant. Best case scenario...your system just needs a charge of refridgerant due to not having enough.
