Im not going to say no but if you catch it fast enough. buy some extra quarts and run them through to clean out as much as you can run the engine till warmed up and get the clean oil washing out the white oil then change oil again then in 500 miles are so change it again you should be cleaned out. you can use a oil flush between the first startup warmup and oil change.that will help it clean out.but if youve been running for a while with white oil the bearings life are definately gone.as far as checking head gasket do a leakdown or compression check.

99 alero 3.4 blew the head gasket, intake gasket and water pump. Changed all of it. Rough start and high idle now. What could cause the oil light to stay on with the engine knocking and shaking?

More bad news. Have the oil pressure checked. Did any coolant get in the oil? Did it run like that for some time? Knocking and shaking is bad news-check it out carefully.

Engine froze up, what causes water to get in oil?

The head gasket could be blown. Is there a lot of water? Is there oil in your radiator?
There is a chance, it could be condensation. If it is just a small amount of milky looking oil on the oil cap.

My 93toyota camery overheated cause of split n radiator replaced with new radiator but still blows water out of overflow think could b waterpump n sounds like missing could that b because of the water blew...

Possibly blew a head gasket allowing combustion gases to enter the cooling system and force coolant out of the overflow tank. This can be verified by doing a compression check on each cylinder.

Wrong Head Gasket or installed wrong

Given it is over 20 years old, do you really
want to invest even the time into working on it?

Who did the engine repairs, couldn't be a repair shop
or it would have acted up before you got it back!

My 2003 Ford focus blew a head gasket a while back. I got fixed that, changed out the water pump, thermostate, water resevoir, and a few hoses. It started to overheat again, but the thermostate wasn&#

If you got a blown head gasket, water is getting mixed with your oil, pretty much ruining it, and your oil's viscosity will be affected, causing oil pressure to drop and your light turns on.

How do you know your car is overheating if it's not showing in your gauge?

When replacing blown gaskets there are a few things that is best to do, like sandblasting the heads, clean, scrape block and use proper torque an sequence, only removing old gasket and placing new ones won't fix the issue, those gaskets go through extreme conditions, expansion, temp changes, etc, they need to be put mindfully. I mention this because it seems you changed a lot and ended up with the original issue...

If your gasket is blown you need to fix that asap, then identify where is your coolant leak/blockage that causes alleged overheating, doing a coolant flush might help. Good luck.

Engine blew after oil change, no oil lost

did you notice any bearing noises when you started it after the oil change and before the oil reached all the bearings? how many miles? if he sues have the oil pump tested to see if it pumps or the intake screen is plugged with sludge, that is the common cause i have seen.

1991 Jaguar XJ6 Soverign 4.0 Water in the engine oil

Get engine warm and do a compression test. This easily eliminates head gasket. Head gasket is a biggish job and time wasted if it is not the problem. Part throttle breather unlikely as this is a vacuum applied to the cam cover, so water is unlikely to get in there as the air is coming out of the engine. But, if water is in the inlet manifold, could it be the inlet manifold to head gasket? I can't remember for sure, but I think this is water heated? If so, that is probably your culprit. If not, it sounds like a top end water leak and unlikely to be head gasket, head gasket leaks nearly always show up as steam out of the exhaust - "white smoke". Hope this helps.

Coolant leaking from rear of engine where the passenger side head and intake meet the block. The engine seems to run fine. is there anything under the intake that could be damaged or do you think its a head...

That would be a head gasket leak. The motor will run fine there min. change white smoke from exhaust but min. On newer cars the check engine light will engage

The problem is that your oil and anti freeze are mixing not a good thing. Good luck .
