Can you post a pic of the bracket? The only triangular bracket I can think of on this install is on the drivers side of the crossmember. It goes on the bottom and the two thru bolts for the crossmember go thru the bracket.

2008 LTZ 24l Ecotech. How do I service automatic transmission?

Hi , being that the transmission shouldn't have a dipstick, the transmission pan will need to be removed in order to remove and change the filter, pretty straight forward , after the transmission lower pan bolts are removed, clean the pan and remove the filter by carefully pulling it from the valve body , a slight twist and tug should do it . than replace the filter by pushing it back up into the valve body. replace the blots and torque to 14 inch the top of the transmission their should be a red or black fill plug . add 4 quarts of fluid to the transmission through this hole . start the car and run it through the gears . now back under the car there is a small 11 mm plug at the drivers side of the trans near where the axel shaft comes out ... remove this plug/bolt with the engine running and car in park . fluid should trickle out of this hole , if not still with the engine running pour additional trans fluid in the fill hole until fluid starts to trickle from lower hole , once that happens replace the 11mm bolt in the lower hole and replace the fill cap. road test the car and your all done

Add transmission fluid

unlike the oil, where you pour it in a bigger hole. The transmission fluid goes in the dip stick hole. (hard to believe but true) get a small funnel and stick it where the dipstick goes. picture shows how to find the dipstick hole from by looking at the side of your engine toward the back you will find it. 9k=

I have found the hole i think that the transmission dip stick goes in but no stick threaded hole what does dip sticklook like so i will know what to purchase

The hole for the transmission dipstick should be a very skinny metal tube that comes up along side your engine from underneath. As far as the stick it is almost identical to an oil dipstick. Maybe a little longer is all.

I need to replace the drivebelt on my 95 ford windstar. where is the tension pulling and how do I release it to install the belt?

The tention pulley is a small wheel located on a braket that looks as if it does nothing at all. It may have a square hole in the braket or in the pulley itself. There are certain tools used to release the tension and they are simply inserted into this square hole and pressure is applied to move the pulley( which is spring loaded) to releave the pressure from the belt. Its only purpose is to create tention on the belt.

Installing Transmission and trasfer case. On A 1995 gmc Jimmy need to know were 2 long Support bars connect

They go from the bell housing to the transfercase. The one with the 2 holes on one end goes on the driverside. The end with the long spacer goes on the bottom bolt hole on the bell housing and the other end mounts to the transfer case right above the big electrical connector with the bolt in it.The other brace goes on the passengerside with the long spacer bolt hole on the bottom bellhousing bolt and the flat end with one bolt hole goes on the side of the transfercase.

How do you get the passenger side door panel off so I can replace the mirror?

remove all bolts on panel if you have a newer vehicle than after all fastners both hidden behind plastic snaps and ones that are exposed and the all other side mirror panels are removed it should lift up and then off. older vehicles have plastic pins that snap into little holes 360 around the panel. the newer vehicles have like plastic brakets that rest in rectangular holes to hold the panel in place/... so when all the fastners on the door are taken out then just lift straight up on the panel.

I have a 1978 Chevy C10 straight 6 with 3 on the column. It has sat for 4 months, cranked it and it won't go into any gear? Never messed with straight, manual says to check level and ad lubricant to fill o...

Look about 1/2-3/4 way up side of transmission for a square plug (5/8" wrench works if I recall correctly) Stick finger in hole to first joint, if oils there, it's o.k. if not fill until it touches tip of finger. I'm guessing that's not the problem, but let us know how it goes.
