2004 Toyota Sequoia, interior lights bright, gauges register, but motor will not turn over. Starter makes a clicking sound. Could this be simply a fuse? How difficult to change starter?

You operative panel, Click on starter means all seem ok! more likely problem is with the starter itself! cause the click you hear is comming out of the starter actuator BUT you have a weared contact carbons of the starter.... of course, this should be done by a technician
Contact carbons are very cheap (should not exceed $3 - $4)! but labor might cost something
good luck

2006 toyota sequoia, upon turning the ignition, there is a clicking noise, rough start but the car does turn on, the battery meter goes right to the mid point, therefore I don't think it is the battery....

a hard click, each time u try to start until the conatcts on the starter meet then it spins. Starter bad , but if u know how to take the cover off the solenoid u can see the replaceable contacts (usually just one side worn) and u could purchase at a starter rebuild shop and fix it for under $12.00

Clicking noise will not turn over after placing positive connector

the clicking noise you are hearing. is generated from low voltage to the starter. the solenoid will not stay closed. to bring primary voltage to starter motor.
solution take battery to local parts store have it fully charged, then load tested. the fully charged battery,
should be the answer.
