Locate the power steering unit on the Engine and you will see a reservoir attached to it. Add fluid there.

Which fluid do i use for power steering?

You can use Dexron III Automatic Transmission Fluid, such as Castrol Import Multi Vehicle. Pump off as much of the old fluid as possible with the pump from a shampoo bottle top, then add the ATF fluid. Don't overfill.

1998 volvo s 70 power steering makes noise -fluid ok--need help please

Your noise is either from old age of the pump or you have an air leak in the system somewhere. Carefully check the lines, pump, rack & pinion and hoses on the power steering system for signs of damp/wetness. If there are no visible leaks, then the problem will be worn bearings in the pump itself.
