Yes there is a fuse, but i think more lights than just reverse lights would be out if the fuse was bad. there is a sensor in the tranny which tells the reverse lights to turn on, that sensor might be bad. or there could be a short in a wire which controls positive or ground for the reverse lights, follow the electrical current all the way from the light bulbs themselvs untill you find the problem.

All fuses are good - brake lights, rear running lights work fine. but the reverse lights won't come on when put into reverse. Any idea what might be going on? As far as I know the bulbs are still good...

You will need to either replace or adjust your backup switch, it is located on the transmission next to the shifter. Hope this helps, thank you for using FixYa!

No back up lights when its in reverse

You will need to either replace or adjust your backup switch. It's not being made or not working when you put it in reverse. It should be at the shifter on the trans.

Backup lights rarely work

Ifyour lights work some of the time it is probably not the fuse. It is either a ground or the reverse light switch that should ingage when the car is in reverse. Electrical problems are hard enough to evaluate in person and almost impossible when your not there. That being said, if you know any one wih a little electrical expirience in cars they would be a lot more help than anyon on line.
Good luck
