Have you tried checking your ground wire? 1.Try taking each end apart giving it a good sanding to clean up to bare metal and try again. 2. The ground wire itself or other wires running to the coil, might need to be replaced. Try taking off individual wires and testing them with a 12 volt light bulb to see if current is still following through them. Good Luck.

New Battery/starter and still wont crank.

car wont crank or car wont start? I would say your battery cables are bad,, acid gets in from battery and erodes internal cable parts... need a Meter to check it out.. put the meter on battery while someone tries to start it, if the voltage drops from 13.5 to 10 then it is trying to turn over, I always have the new starters tester before I leave a store, they are remanufactured in Malaysa and they use old parts in most of them..

Wont start new starter good battery

Even though my battery showed a good voltage it wouldn't crank the engine in my grand prix anymore. It wouldn't start with a jump box either. As soon as I put in a new battery it was fine.

06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

Will not start. There is no sound at all when turning on the ignition. Lights, radio, etc all work. Also, problem is intermittent.

Check battery terminals first.Remove them both, clean them and reconnect to the battery. Even though the lights work, your starter draws a lot more juice and will not engage if the terminals are dirty and making a poor connection. If thats not the issue it could be your starter.

My 2004 grand prix won't start. All accessories

Make sure your battery is fully charged and all terminals and connections are clean, first. If the car still makes a clicking sound near the starter its your starter selonoid. Some vehicle models allow you to just replace the selonoid and others require a whole new starter. Either way you'll probably have to remove the whole starter to accomplish the repair.

2005 grand prix car starter (factory installed) does not work

Start with checking the remotes. The battery hold downs can break when dropped. After that the transmitters can be tested at the dealer, usually free, If they are bad they will have to be replaced and the new ones programmed. If the transmitters are good the system codes will need to be checked.
