The back three plugs look mind numbingly impossible, but you can (if you don't have meaty hands) get to them from underneath... you need a 3 inch socket extension for the plugs and, I used a full length handled 3/8 rachet. A stubby handle rachet would make removeal much easier. As for removing the wires; there is a wire loom on the back, the same as is on the front wires.

The loom on the back I could not get unclipped. So, I cut it off. The wires that go to the back are quite short and I didn't bother to reinstall the loom. You can fish the wires up and out from on top of the engine, just work them slow and carefully. They came out easier than I thought they would.

Other way, go get a medium duty ratchet strap. Hook it to the big metal loop on the front of the engine on the right top side of the block. Take the other end of the strap and run it down under the bumper to either the frame or the metal part of the bumper make sure it is secure. take up all the slack in the strap. on the front of the engine there are 2 "bog bones" that hold th engine to the core support take one bolt out of each and flip them up. Once this is done ratchet the engine as far forward as you can. Next remove the alternator and you can now get to all the spark plugs. Just reverse this process to put it all back together.

Hope helps.

2001 Chevy venture intermittently running rough.

Check air filter. Check for any vacuum leaks. Check condition of plug wires. Were new plugs pre-gapped? If not, make sure the spark gap is correct for your vehicle.

Pull out the 2 long bolts that hold your motor mounts together, and then carefully jack the rear of your motor up from the bottom by the oil pan. You should now have enough room to wiggle your ratchet back there.

the spark plugs shouldnt make a difference the wires are what make a difference and if they are all different lengths then the shortest wire will be for the closest spark plug.

Running "rough"

I had the same issue with my venture. It turned out to be the number 5 plug wire, backside of engine ended up breaking out of the plug carrier and burning in half on the manifold. Your best bet is to trace all the wires to start off with and change the plugs. If that doesn't help, it may be internal. Good luck
