Mcdevito75 here, The heater/Ac fan motor is a sealed unit, locate the fan motor, as you look at the engine from the front of the car the fan motor will be on your left side comming out of the firewall, It"s a round cylinder like and is black, from inside the car put the fan on, tap the fan motor itself with a screwdriver, small wrench, etc. see if it"ll start, if not have your local shop replace this fan motor.

Sounds like you have a low vacuum signal to the AC mode control switch.

What could be causing loud grinding noise when i switch on aircon? Aircon now not working but only makes loud sound.

Sounds like the bearing or part of the clutch in the A/C compressor has failed, or possibly component on a/c fouling on something due to recent repairs however would be unlikely and probably just a coincidence..

Check A/C compressor turns by hand, should be firm but not make any noises.

Check for fouling components related to a/c compressor clutch.

Ac fan wont blow

I would disconnect the fan connector and use contact cleaner to clean the connection. Usually corrosion. Also fan might be going bad (Common Problem).

Ac blows hot

That sounds like the Blend Door Actulator has decided to go loopy. I heard of people turning it to hot and getting cold, Normally when this bit goes it makes a click click noise
