Like to other guy said, give it a tuneup. Also try SEAFOAM to clean carb up of slug. Also check to make sure the butter fly for the choke has not come loose, causing it the choke it down. Failed choke pull-off.

The light is flashing because the engine is miss firing. The first thing I would try is replacing the distributor cap and rotor.

Problem! I have a 2004 Lincoln Aviator and sunday I filled it up with cheap gas. I noticed Monday on the way to work when I got up to about 20 to 60mph the car strating missing. It was not jerking just missing a little. As the week passed I've noticed that it began to idle rough and it is still missing aroun 40 to 60 mph. I assumed i needed a tune up due to the car has 75k miles on it. I took it in for a tune up yesterday and it did not fix the problem. the mechanic said that i may be having transmission problems. I drove it to work this am and notice that now the emissions service light is on. Any clue to what is going on. Alos noticed this am when I stop at t red light it is missing like the car wants to stale but it does not. Could this be due to bad gas? I have like a 1/4 of that gas left to run out and I'm going to refill with prenium gas and a bottle of Lucas fuel injection. Any other ideas or suggestions of what is going on with this vechile?

When did you last change the spark plugs, distributor cap, ignition wires, ignition coil, fuel filter, or the fuel pump? Any one of these could causing your care to stall. Also, have you been using regular gas or premium as premium gas can cause your engine to not combust properly if it wasn't designed for premium
