Radiator fan continues to run. Fan won't shut off when engine is turned off.

Its supposed to keep running even with the car turned off if the car is still to warm, they work off a sensor,, now if it keeps running way to long,, the sensor is bad,, ( if you have to pull the fuse to make it quit after a while,, then check the relay , and then the sensor )

1995 chevy lumina sensor went out and fan wont turn

How did you determine that the sensor failed. Did the check engine light come on? When you say that the fan won't turn, do you mean that it won't turn on and run or that you can't physically turn it by hand. To determine this, disconnect the electrical connector to the fan and try to turn it by hand. It should turn easily. If it doesn't then it must be replaced. If it does then reconnect the electrical connector to the fan and try to operate it by disconnecting the temperature sensor lead and placing a jumper wire between the terminals of the harness. turn the AC control to AC/MAX and turn the ignition key to on. If the fan runs then the problem is the sensor. If it doesn't then check the fan control relay and any related fuses. WARNING : Use extreme caution when testing the fan circuit. Never attempt to turn the fan with the electrical connector in place. The fan can operate at any time even if the engine is off.

My blower motor continues running even after the key is removed

Did it just start doing this? Many GM cars have a feature that allows the windows, radio and other accessories to operate for several minutes after the key is turned off and even removed or until the door is opened. Try opening the door and see if it goes off.

My car is running hot when it sits for along time and the air is on why?

Coolant circulates at a much slower rate with the engine at an idle and the AC compressor does represent a substantial load on the engine causing it to produce more heat.
There is an extra fan which in most cars should turn on with the AC to help reduce heat buildup. You can check its operation pretty easy by opening the hood and watching the fan(s) while another turns on the AC and then off again. Obviously, keep your hands away from any fan even when not running since the operation of them is dependent on sensors that could decide to turn one on suddenly.

Electrical problems with trunk gas door and ac

the first problem with you fuel door is most likely the rear actuating motor or cable. remove the right rear trunk lining, and loosen the 2 silver phillips head screws, and remove the actuating motor. i would suggest replacing both the motor and the cable, as both of these parts have superceeded to a new improved part. the AC problem is caused by a faulty fan control unit. this part not only receives the switch signal and processes the information to control the compressor, but also controls the fans, their speed, the compressor, and the hi/lo pressure switch. both of these parts a a common problem for the beetle.
