Sorry i cannot always be more specific as iam a general mechanic and although i will know what the fault is i cannot always be sure of where to find the fault without having my head under the bonnet to have a look to locate where its situated ,Some american vehicles i do have knowledge but few and old models at that although these cars are sold here in europe and quite popular as well i do not always get to work on them till them they get old and decrepit .

My heater fan doesn't work at all.

The blower motor resistor is bad ! The blower motor operates at different speeds an when you turn the speed switch It directs current through a different resistor making the blower motor go slower of faster . What Does Blower Motor Resistor Do eHow

Fan control switch only works on high

If you blower fan will only work on high know that most blower motors are power by a basic electrical circuit that utilizes a multi resistor or a solid-state resistor to control different fan speed modes (low, medium low, medium and high). If the resistor malfunctions it may lose one or more of the lower fan speed settings. First check the fuse and change if needed. If that doesn't fix things change the resister.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

Heater blower stopped working?

Hello,
You may want to try your fan on all speeds. If it will work on high, you have a bad resistor for the fan motor. ( high speed doesn't go through the resistor ).
If it doesn't work on any speed, I would check the following;
1. Make sure the fuse isn't blown for the fan blower motor.
2. Check, or have checked the wires between the fan control switch and the fan blower motor.
3. Have the fan control switch checked.
4. Have the fan blower motor checked.

I hope this helps you.

The ac is on full at all times, even when you adjust the fan hight. someone sayed i need a a/c auto amplifier. but i can't find that part

Good Evening, If I am translating this properly your fan only works on the high setting? And the other settings do not change the speed? If this is correct respond back and I will help as much as possible.

Heat/ac fan only blows on high

Check the heater control switch,,,,,and the number of wires at the heater motor....Some motors have more than one winding...in which case there will be three or more wires going into motor..there can be burnout in those windings and will require a new motor....check the plug which attaches to the motor....can be bad connection...or at the switch.....but if there is only two wires....then the heater switch uses resistors to slow down the different speeds...and direct connection for high speed....and the problem is definitely the switch...

HEATER FAN CONTROL DOWN TO 2 SPEEDS

The control is not the problem. Your blower motor resistor is burnt out on two fan speeds.
This is a high failure rate item that the factory has redesigned at least twice for this concern.
