Im afraid you have a blown head gasket, for a quick fix you might add some copper seal with water glass in your radiator, and that might help you for a while,

How do I bleed the cooling system?

Turn the heat control to max and remove radiator cap - add coolant as much as possible. Make sure overflow container is filled to correct level - then Start car and run - after the thermostat opens water level may go down some - keep adding coolant till it is totally full. Turn engine off and put radiator cap back on tight.

My radiator hose popped off today iput it on and my car still over heats

You may have an air pocket with no fluid. This would cause over heating. If you have a recovery tank, it is better to add fluid thru there and not directly in radiator neck.

Change all the radiator hoses. If you still smell coolant it could be coming from your heater core. If that goes out the floor of the vehicle will be wet and the windows will steam up.

2002 Hyundai Elantra - My car overheated over the weekend and is not holding water or antifreeze.

It is highly possible the radiator has developed a leak in the upper and/or solder joints of the radiator. If it got hot enough it could melt the brazing and/or solder joints. You probably will not be able to see this with just your eyes but it would show up when pressure is built up inside the radiator when driving. Any competent auto shop can run a radiator pressure test to find the problem. Hope this helps.

Heat is not working - coolant was low so filled it.... problem here... heard something about an air pocket

If you dont have an external coolant leak anywhere under your hood that has shown up on your driveway it could be the intake manifold or the headgasket leaking. Also check the thermostate to solve the heat issue.

Over heating

If it's leaking fluid around the water pump you have to replace the water pump. They do not last forever. The reason it's overheating is because you have losted fluid. Do not operate without filling the radiator back to normal. You can destroy the engine by overheating and warping the header !

I have a 1993 volkswagon golf and i cant seem to find where to the tap is on the raditor

I think the problem could be your thermostat not opening when hot. Turn the heater on full inside the car and check if you are getting hot air from the vents as the engine reach's its normal running tempreture. It should blow hot, if it blows cold then change your thermostat. Also check all the hoses for leeks.
