Question about 2003 Mini Cooper
I have a 2003 Mini Cooper S with xenon headlights. Over the past year the driver's side headlight will often not ignite until it is switched on and off several times, worse when it's wet or cold. I have swapped the ECM between the two headlights without any change in the problem. Should I replace the whole assembly or try something else?
The problem is either in the bulb itself (replacing it should fix that and would be a lot cheaper that replacing the whole set) or the wiring . Try first to fix the wiring - clean all contacts and make sure they fit properly, check the wires for breaks in the insulation, make sure there's no dirt that could cause a short.
