Truck star up and run for one secord

Good with the gas test, and enough. A 2001 Sonoma? That's a very sophisticated Sequential Electronic Fudl Injection (SEFI) system, there. It seems either gas is not getting to the injectors, or the injectors are not letting gas into the cylinders. See if the pump buzzes on for a couple of seconds when you turn key to ON. You should hear it, or stand by the tank with filler cap off and listen while someone turns key to on. If you don't hear the pump come on to prime the fuel system and then shut off after a couple of seconds, you likely have a problem of a failed pump or something not letting power get to the pump. If you hear the pump run, then change your fuel filter. See if that helps. The next step would be to have the fuel pressure checked, and the system tested further. Good luck.

2000 dodge durango acts like it's out of gas

Could be just the fuel filter. A common symptom of a failed filter is for it quit at higher speeds, then start again after a rest period. A partially-clogged filter is still under pressure when just stopped and bleeds through some fuel with time so it'll start again. If this happens, you may be able to limp home slowly and change that filter. BE CAREFUL if you've never done this before, the fuel is under high pressure, it can spray all over you. And if you've ever run the tank very low or completely out and kept cranking on it, you can burn up the fuel pump because it wants to be immersed in gas to keep it cool.... Good luck.

My 1991 chevy pick up stopped running I sprayed starter fluid in the carberater and it fired did not check fuel filter because i do not know where it is do you know where it is located

Fuel filter in under your truck, drivers side, close to front door area, on frame rail inner side, if you don't have fuel pressure, more then likely, bad fuel pump.Hope this was very helpful.

Ran out of gas. Put gas in it started right up then after a few minuts it shut off. Put gas in carb it runs till gas is used up. Where is fuel filter and is the fule pump in gas tank?

Fuel filter is located on the inside frame rail under the drivers door and the fuel filter is located in the gas tank. Start with the simple and change the fuel filter first, but it is common for the fuel pump to burn out when the gas tank has run out of fuel, but since your engine started back up. Good chance that your fuel pump may still be good and your fuel filter may have pick up dirty from the bottom of the gas tank which is causing your engine not to get any fuel.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

Your carberater is having problems getting the correct amount of fuel.Either a line or fuel filter is clogged or you need to have your carb. rebuilt.

Driving over grade, ran low on gas & got a flat tire..rumbled to stop, added gas tried turing over sounded flooded, let set overnight, added more gas would'nt start, pulled gas line no gas...

check the fuel pump relay. it could have went out. If this is good and you still do not have gas being pumped then it is your fuel pump or a really dirty fuel filter. If the relay is good then I would replace the fuel filter and then if that does not fix it then go with the fuel pump
