Question about 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

Vehicle will not start. No indication of problems. Ran and started without difficulty. Now it will not start, (turn-over) and there is a clicking sound and the mileage indicator flashes in time with the clicking noise. If the door is ajar, the door open light flashes also. When the key is inserted all the dash board warning lights flash.

Check your battery cables make shure the they are not loose and r clean

I wouldn't think catalytic converter, without it giving some indication that it was going bad, but without testing it is hard to say.
When it cranks and won't start, check for battery voltage to the coil on the dark green wire, with key ON. If you have power at the coil, it might be a bad coil. If no power to the coil, it could be a Crank Position Sensor or the Cam Position Sensor inside the distributor. If one of those is bad, it can stop the computer from sending power to the coil.

The fuel pump was changed on my 87 toyota camry the car ran good for a couple days and than it just turned off it turned over but wouldn't start than after a couple hours it started. than a couple

Sounds as if you may have a relay getting to hot and not woriking until it cools down. Below is a diagram of the relay box under the hood of the vehicle. The relay marked "EFI MAIN RELAY" could be the problem. When the vehicle is NOT starting, have someone try and start the vehicle. As they are turning the key put your finger on that relay. You should feel it "click" as it is engaging (can't spell). If you don't feel anything like a "click" going on, then that means the relay is not working. This is saying that the problem is fuel related. It could be many other things but since you said you were having fuel problems then I would starthere. You may even want to gently tap on that relay as well to see if that kind of loosens it to begin woroking again. Below is a diagram of that box for you.

Engine won't start and it back fires while trying to start.

I'll suggest that you start out by checking the ignition timing on the vehicle. I suspect that your car ran fine, you turned it off and now this is what you have after you tried to start it. This indicates that the car "jumped time" when you tried to start it. Good Luck!

I would replace the A S D relay. it's located in the fuse box under the hood. It's inexpensive at the dealer. My ASD relay was acting up, and it wanted to bog down while driving, and sputter pulling away from a red light. once it finally goes, the vehicle won't start at all.

Ran out of gas. vehicle started, ran, drove home, turned off, would not restart. Is there a ran out of fuel procedure/fuel pump reset. Does sound like fuel pump is working. Dirty/clogged fuel filter

No, there isn't a reset. When you run out of fuel, after refilling turn your key on without starting the vehicle. You should hear the fuel pump working for a couple seconds. After the pump stops then try to start the vehicle. Because you could hear the fuel pump working, it is possible that your fuel filter is dirty/clogged. I hope this helps.

My starter was replaced early this year but I am having difficulty starting the vehicle, it seems as if it doesn't want to catch.

If the car is turning over good, but just won't start that is not your starter. You could have a weak fuel pump, need a good tune up or a problem with spark. If you keep turning it over without starting you will ruin your starter. A fuel injcted car should start righ away. Save the cost of another starter and have it diagnosed.

I would start with testing for spark, then fuel, then compression.

check for signal at starter when key is turned signal is the small sound doesnt eliminate the starter as the problem if you have no signal chek the clutch safty switch if it fails truck wont start

96 voyager stalls won't turn over after some time it goes

1- under the hood their is a two relays Fuel pump and engine cut off. locate both relays. Next time the vehicle will not start have someone inside the vehicle turn the key to start and if feel with your fingers the top of the relay and listen for the CLICK. It is possible that one of the relays is sticky. I would just replacement as they are only 10-12 bucks from most dealers and auto parts stores. If this does corrected the problem next time the vehicle does not start bang the gas tank with a sometime and try it again. If it starts after banging then you fuel pump motor is sticking
