SOURCE: how to set the timing on a 1995 chrysler new yorker

There is no way to set the timing on this vehicle. Everything is computer controlled. The timing is controlled by readings from a combination sensors on the engine. The main sensor responsible for the timing is the CAM Position Sensor. This isn't the only sensor, just the main one. It is found on the top front of the engine, right near the coolant thermostat housing.

what would make you think its the computer??. If you've troubleshot the problem to that kudos to you, but if you are wrong you could be spending alot of money on new computer that doesn't fix the problem. The problem you describe could be caused by a lot of components including idling components
